Hey Product Hunt! I missed the announcer from Pokémon Stadium. A knockout or a Mega Evolution feels bigger when someone calls the moment. So I built Poke Battle Announcer, a companion app that watches Pokémon Champions battles and plays announcer clips as the action happens. There are two ways to use it: - Play on your phone with Phone Game mode running. - Point your phone's camera at your Switch, TV, or monitor. Battle text is read on your device, and the commentary uses audio clips stored locally. Gameplay frames aren't uploaded, and the app doesn't need your microphone. The project started as a Mac prototype and grew into iPhone and Android apps through real battle testing and player feedback. We used GPT-6 Astra to develop our latest update, version 1.2, and this challenge felt like a good time to share what we've been building. Getting the timing right has been the most interesting part: a move, a missed attack, and a knockout can arrive as separate messages, and the announcer needs to keep track of what happened. You can try 50 battle calls free. Pro unlocks unlimited calls, and the Classic Announcer Pack is an optional separate purchase. Watch the demo with sound on. I'd love to hear which battle moment you want an announcer to nail and how it works with your setup. Poke Battle Announcer is an unofficial third-party companion app, not affiliated with or endorsed by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Game Freak, or Creatures.
