I'm Yozhef, one of the makers of Ploof Studio.
My friend and I have spent around 15 years building enterprise software. But Ploof started with something much simpler.
I built a small website for some friends. It looked great, but I knew what would happen next: change this text, add a photo, update a phone number. Every tiny change would mean calling the IT guy again. Me. 😅
A few weeks later, a guy working on the fireplace in my house found out I was a developer. His first question was whether I could help fix his old WordPress website.
That's when it clicked.
Most people don't want to learn web development. They just want a website they can create, change, and publish themselves.
So we built Ploof Studio.
Our goal wasn't just another AI website generator. We wanted to make the entire process simple:

We also rebuilt Ploof as a native Mac app using SwiftUI. The download went from 218 MB to under 9 MB.
We're a tiny team, building this independently, and there's still a lot we want to improve.
