I built PlayCompare out of personal frustration. I kept buying games at full price on Steam only to find them 40-50% cheaper on Humble Bundle or Fanatical minutes later.
The extension works automatically on Steam pages so you never have to manually check again. The iOS app lets you set price alerts so you get notified when a game drops to your target price.
