Hey! I built PlainPing after watching too many small businesses find out their site was down from an angry customer instead of a monitoring tool. Existing options (UptimeRobot, Pingdom, etc.) are built for DevOps engineers — latency graphs, webhook integrations, API docs. If you're a church admin or a solo shop owner, that's noise.
PlainPing does three things: tells you when your site's down, when your SSL cert is about to expire (the "Not Secure" warning killer), and when your domain registration is about to lapse (the "site just vanished" killer). Alerts are written in plain English with what to do next, not a status code.
