I built Placeholder Image Generator because I got tired of hunting down the right placeholder service every time I started a new project, or dealing with slow APIs and broken image links mid-development.
This tool runs entirely in your browser. You pick the size, background color, text color, and label, and it generates the image instantly. No account needed, no rate limits, no server round trips.
A few things I focused on:
Custom dimensions (not just presets)
Full control over colors and text
Instant generation, no loading delays
Works completely offline once the page loads
