I initially built Piwi because I was annoyed to rely on HTML reports and traces to understand why my tests failed, without having the history of each case. Piwi stores each run, with each test case, keeps articfact such as screenshots and traces of course, but goes way further : stacktraces, backend logs, provides optional AI assisted diagnosis tools, a browser extension, a desktop app to launch tests locally among other things, etc
