I am Pique's maker — a solo founder based in Dubai, and honestly just someone who spent way too many evenings with his friends thinking "what do we actually talk about tonight?" That is genuinely how this started. Just that specific frustration of sitting with people you care about and realising the conversation keeps going in circles — same topics, same energy, nothing that actually gets to the good stuff.
So I started thinking about what makes a conversation actually reveal someone. What question makes your partner pause before answering. What game makes your friends argue about who knows each other best. I built Pique around that feeling.
5-6 months later — planning, building, testing, breaking things, fixing them — here we are.
What Pique does differently is it fits your mood rather than locking you into one format:
→ Want to go deep with your partner? The Daily Thread gives you one question every day — your answers are locked until both of you respond. The reveal is always the best part.
→ Want to play something with your couple friends? Couples Journey takes you through 4 chapters that get progressively more interesting.
→ Want pure chaos with your group? Roast Mode. Anonymous roasts, written by everyone, read out loud, and the target has to guess who wrote what. This one is my favourite thing I have ever built. Sessions get loud very quickly.
→ Want to find out how well your friends actually know each other? Open Book. Everyone answers the same question honestly, then the group has to guess who said what. Nothing exposes a friend group faster.
One thing I deliberately did differently from the big apps in this space — no subscription, no paywall that locks everything after a trial. Chapter 1 is permanently free. Paid packs are one-time purchases.
