Top comment

I built PipeAudit after seeing the same CI/CD mistakes over and over across projects I worked on. Permissions too broad, no dependency scanning, actions not pinned to a SHA. Small issues individually, but easy to miss across 20+ workflows. Tested it on some well known open source repos before launching : solana-labs/solana scored 33/100, ethereum/execution-specs scored 48/100. Not because they're bad projects, CI/CD hygiene is just easy to overlook. Would love honest feedback on the scoring logic or any rules you think are missing.

Comment highlights

Ran it on one of my repos and the unpinned actions flag caught three I had no idea were floating on mutable tags. Super useful, will audit the rest this week.

Who hunted PipeAudit?

PipeAudit was hunted by Kevin JM. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
