I built Pip because I kept doing the same annoying loop: get stuck on something, take a screenshot, open ChatGPT, explain the context, then go back and try to follow the answer.
Pip started thanks to the open-source work behind HeyClicky, which gave me a strong foundation to build from. From there, I focused heavily on taking the experience further — better UX, more useful features, and making it feel like something you can actually use every day.
Pip lives on your desktop. When you hold a key, it can see what you’re looking at, understand the context, and help immediately — whether that means explaining something, pointing to where to click, fixing an error, or walking you through a task.
The goal is simple: make getting help on your computer feel less like chatting with a bot and more like having someone sitting next to you.
Hey Victor, that's something I've been wanting to build for myself. Great job on making it happen!
Quick question: how do you differentiate it from HeyClicky? You say it has more useful features. Can you give an example? Also who's the team behind this, Is it just you and is this a side project or full-time?
Assessing which tool I should use So I can stick with it long term 😁
Congrats on shipping Pip, Victor. When Pip walks me through something that takes five clicks, does that count as one question or five against the monthly limit?
