Pinned by Friends is a friendship-first social app where your friends help build your wall. I built Pinned by Friends because I wanted social media to feel more personal again.
Most social apps are built around followers, feeds, likes, and posting for an audience. I wanted to try something different: a place where your friends actually help create your profile by pinning memories directly to your wall.
The problem I wanted to solve was that so many great photos and moments end up buried in camera rolls, group chats, or disappearing into a feed. With Pinned by Friends, those moments can become part of a shared wall that grows over time.
The idea evolved a lot while I was building it. It started as a simple wall for Polaroid-style photos, but as I worked on it I kept focusing more on the friendship side of the experience—making it less about broadcasting yourself and more about the memories you create with other people.
This is still early, and I’m excited to hear what people like, what they don’t, and what you think would make Pinned by Friends better.
