Background: 15 years wiring telecom integrations across West Africa. Every time a Business wanted to add airtime, Data plans, digital vouchers to their app, same story — five operators, five contracts, five APIs, five wallets to keep funded. Then an
MNO changes its SKU on a Sunday and prod breaks.
Pillar is what I wished existed back then.
One API for 17 operators across 9 countries. POST /v1/transactions, we route to the right one and return an HMAC-signed webhook when the operator confirms. Idempotent so retries don't double-debit. Multi-currency — USD or EUR on your wallet side, local currency on the operator's. KYB and audit log built-in for regulated clients.
