I created Piips to connect people with real life. Originally, it was called Live Local Area Network (LLAN - the name just did NOT roll off the tongue), which gives you some idea of what the app should do. Piips plugs you into the reality that surrounds you by gathering and organising information you care about in real time. I kind of see it like Neo's Matrix view where he can sense everything (physical) but also read it (digital). It works everywhere - you just always see local content. What does everyone think?
This might be extremely helpful for people who just relocated and have no friends around. What made you create such a product? Just curious.
Hi Tasso, I love the idea! It reminds me of a similar product that launched in Sydney, Australia a while back which has evolved in a different direction. Who do you see as your main audience for this? Inner-city 16-30 yr olds? Do you see it involving a quiz upfront so you can set your interest profile to find connections faster for eg..?
