Hey 👋,
I'm a data science engineer, and PictTools is the side
project I built to help people be more productive and creative with everyday
image tasks. Every time one of us needed to do something simple,
like removing a background, converting HEIC to JPG, or compressing
a photo for email, we'd end up signing up for some tool we'd use
once and maybe face a rate limit of use. So we started building our
own.
PictTools is everything you needed in one free place. The newest
addition is the AI ✨ Background Remover. Drop a photo, the AI detects
the subject automatically, and you get a clean transparent PNG.
There's also a Format Converter for JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC and
more, a Transparency Maker for manual color erasing, a Compressor
that hits exact KB targets, plus tools for resize, crop image, rotate & flip images,
add artistic blur effect, image color changer, black and white conversion and more tools are coming.
Everything runs in your browser. No signup, no install. Works on
Mac, Windows, iPhone and iPad. All free.
