PicHero
Find the original, full-size version of any image instantly
PicHero unlocks the full-resolution original behind any image on 9,000+ websites - hover to preview it, open originals automatically, or replace a whole page of thumbnails at once. Includes free unlimited 4× AI upscaling that runs in your browser. Pro adds HD + batch upscaling and four server AI tools: background removal, describe & tag, AI-image detection and reverse source search.
Hey everyone, Ben here.
PicHero came out of one annoying moment. You finally dig out the original image, and it is still 600px wide.
It knows how 9,000+ sites store their images. Hover one, press Shift+Alt+I, and you get the full-resolution file. Or swap every thumbnail on a page for its original in one click. Then it upscales 4x with Real-ESRGAN, running in your browser on your own hardware. Nothing is uploaded.
The finding engine is a fork of maxurl, Apache 2.0, and the credit for that work goes to qsniyg. I built the extension around it, the on-device upscaler and the paid tools.
Every finding tool and unlimited 4x upscaling are free forever. Pro is $24 a year for the HD model, batch to ZIP, background removal, tagging, AI-image detection and reverse source search.
Download it from the Chrome Web Store today.
Tell me what breaks. I am in the comments all day.

Who hunted PicHero?
PicHero was hunted by Rob Stand. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
