PhotoSlimmer
Find the blurry and eyes-closed photos other apps miss
Most photo cleaners just find duplicates or sort by date. PhotoSlimmer looks for the photos you'd actually want to delete, like the blurry ones, the shaky ones, and the ones where someone blinked. It all runs on your iPhone, so nothing gets uploaded and no data is collected. It shows you the candidates and you decide what to keep.
Hi everyone,
I made this app for my wife. Her camera roll has thousands of photos and cleaning it up always stressed her out, partly because the bad shots like blurry ones or someone blinking were all mixed in with the good ones.
Most cleanup apps I tried only remove duplicates or sort photos by date. None of them actually find the low quality shots, so I figured I'd build one that does.
PhotoSlimmer uses Apple's on-device AI to find blurry, shaky, and eyes-closed photos. Everything happens right on your phone, nothing gets uploaded, and no data is collected. It also never deletes anything by itself. It just shows you the photos it thinks are bad and lets you decide what to keep.
I built the whole thing with Claude and took notes the entire way, so I'm happy to share that process if anyone's curious.
One thing I'd really like to know. Is finding blurry and blinked photos actually useful for you, or is it just a nice extra? Your honest take would really help me figure out what to work on next.
Thanks for taking a look.
