I built PhaseOS Lite because I was tired of opening a new tab just to be greeted by generic, bloated dashboards that lag, track your data, or require an endless stream of accounts just to save a simple to-do list. I wanted a browser start page that felt like a premium, high-performance command center—but kept things entirely local and private.
PhaseOS Lite is built natively using HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript to keep it lightning-fast.
Here is what went into it:
Zero-Bloat Privacy: Everything runs entirely on your machine. All settings and data are saved directly to your device’s local storage. No trackers, no external databases.
Cinematic Performance: I integrated over 40 animated WebGL scenes (like space nebulas and auroras) using Three.js, optimizing them to run incredibly smooth with minimal CPU overhead.
A Fully Draggable Workspace: Built a smart grid layout where you can drag, drop, and resize your visual bookmarks and productivity widgets (like a task manager, calendar, and sticky notes) exactly how you want them.
This is an early build, and I'm actively developing more widgets and customization features. I would absolutely love to hear your feedback, feature requests, or brutal roasts.
What features or widgets should I build next? Let me know!
