Hey Product Hunt 👋, We're super excited to launch the new and improved Phase! 🔥🔥 Phase is an easy-to-use application secrets manager for developers. Instead of hard-coding secrets into your code or using .env files and sharing them over Slack. 📩 Simply import your existing secrets into Phase via the CLI by running: phase secrets import .env 🚀 Then inject them into your application at runtime by running: phase run node index.js 🔄 This keeps your secrets secure and always in sync with your teammates across dev, staging, and prod environments. 🏗️ Phase also integrates with other tools and services you may be using, such as GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS. Phase will automatically deploy your secrets and configs to these services, giving you a single source of truth across your team and infrastructure. 🔐 We take the complexity out of securing your secrets by using end-to-end encryption, audit logging, role-based access policies, and IP whitelisting. 👩‍💻 We believe in shifting security left and providing an uncompromised, seamless developer experience — something we found lacking in existing tools like HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager. We're excited for all of you to try it! ❤️ Check out our GitHub: https://github.com/phasehq/console Join our Slack community: https://slack.phase.dev

I love the features of this open source platform because it’s designed specifically for fast moving engineering teams. Good luck!"

I adore how it offers a secure way for smoothly handling and releasing application secrets throughout the development and launch phases.

For myself it's the ideal balance of security and efficiency, making it simpler to handle important data without disrupting production.

What an exciting launch, @nimishk! Phase looks like a game-changer for managing application secrets more efficiently. The integration with tools like GitHub and Kubernetes is definitely a huge plus for teams looking to streamline their workflows. I love how Phase emphasizes security with end-to-end encryption and role-based access policies. Finally, we can shift security left without compromising on developer experience. Looking forward to trying it out and seeing how it can improve our current processes! Is there an AMA planned soon? Would love to dive deeper into the features. Congrats on this major step forward!

Phase is a powerful open source application secrets manager ideal for dynamic engineering teams. An indispensable tool for secure and efficient application deployment.

Congratulations on the launch! We are just hiring a dozen new developers and this tool may come in handy.

I just shared this tool with the team. Anything that could stimulate efficiency and effectiveness in production could put achieving ultimate goals in high gear. Congrats on the launch.

Phase 8 looks like a fascinating tool for content creation! How does it handle complex editing tasks compared to other platforms? Also, what’s the learning curve like for new users?

"This application is very helpful in maintaining the confidentiality of important information. Its intuitive user interface and advanced security features make managing confidential data easier and safer"

Phase looks like a game-changer for teams needing a robust and efficient way to manage application secrets. The open-source approach adds flexibility and transparency, making it a strong developer tool contender. How does it integrate with existing CI/CD pipelines?

Congratulations on the launch of the new and improved Phase! 🎉 How does Phase simplify the process of managing secrets compared to traditional tools like HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager?

Congratulations to Phase Fase on your role as the Secret Manager for the open-source application! Your dedication and hard work in maintaining and managing this project are truly remarkable. Thank you for making such a significant contribution that enriches the community. Keep inspiring and taking innovation to the next level!

Looks great. Your focus on simplifying the process and enhancing security truly addresses a key pain point. Wishing you success with this launch!

Congratulations @nimishk on launching Phase! This looks like a game changer for managing application secrets. The end-to-end encryption and seamless integrations with tools like GitHub and AWS will definitely help teams streamline their workflows. Excited to try it out! 🚀

As someone who lives in the code world 24/7, gotta say this new open source tool seems more like a security hazard waiting to happen, it’s open source and all, but do we really want our app secrets floating around even if it’s just in dev stages, also with so many tools in hand already, is this really solving a problem or just adding one more thing to manage, I get the idea and all but maybe focus on better integrations instead of just another standalone tool

I was looking around and stumbled upon this, giving open source secrets management a try is cool and all, but don’t you think it might create more security loopholes, just worried it’s going to be more hassle for the engineering teams than it's worth 🤔

Seems like another open source tool trying to solve secrets management, but there are already big players in this space, how does this app stand out, what makes it different or better for fast-moving teams, also wondering about the security protocols, are they robust enough for enterprise applications Would be interesting to see if it can integrate smoothly with existing workflows, especially considering the varying needs of different teams, keep pushing innovation but clarity around these questions would help a lot

Maybe focusing on open source is a bit risky, you should've thought about potential security flaws, also it's cool that it's for fast-moving teams but I wonder if slower teams will find it as useful, needs more work for sure
