Hi Product Hunt!
I built Petrelic because turning a photo into real Perler or Hama bead art is much harder than simply pixelating an image. You still need the right grid size, a limited palette, real bead color codes, and an exact count of every color.
Petrelic turns any photo, drawing, pet, character, or logo into an editable, color-coded bead pattern. You can choose the board size and bead brand, adjust the result, and export a printable pattern with the required bead counts.
The standard image conversion is free, runs locally in the browser, and requires no signup. I also added an optional AI step for simplifying photos into cleaner, bead-friendly artwork.
I would especially love feedback on the conversion quality, mobile editing experience, and which bead brands or pattern styles you would like us to support next.

Who hunted Petrelic?
Petrelic was hunted by damn. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
