Hi Product Hunt 👋 I’m Oluwabusola, the founder of PersonDesk.
A while ago, I hit a moment I couldn’t get past, and I kept thinking: if only I could talk to someone who doesn’t know me. Not a friend, not family, not a bot. A real person with no history with me.
So I built PersonDesk. You pick any name (no email, no sign-up), and a trained listener replies. Every message from a listener is typed by a person.
The feature I’m proudest of is Bring someone with you. You can invite a friend into the same conversation and a listener joins you both, because starting alone is often the hardest part.
There’s also: 🔥 Hot takes: post an opinion anonymously and watch the live agree/disagree split 📓 A private journal you can share from, only if you choose ✉️ Letters to Future Me, delivered to your inbox on a date you pick 🤝 A trusted contact who gets a message when you tap “I need someone” 🏢 Private workspaces for organizations
A few honest notes: PersonDesk is peer support, not therapy. Our listeners are trained peer supporters, not licensed professionals. And there’s a small AI guide on the site that only helps you find your way around, and it’s clearly labelled.
We’re early, and I’d really value your honest feedback:
Would you try it with a friend beside you, or alone?
What would make you trust a service like this?
What’s the one thing you’d change first?
I’ll reply to every comment today. Thank you for looking. 💚

PersonDesk was hunted by Oluwabusola Ajao. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post.
