Perigee
Perimenopause, read from the Apple Watch you already wear
Perigee reads what your Apple Watch already records - HRV, wrist temperature, resting heart rate, sleep and breathing rate - and each morning tells you in plain language how last night compared with your own recent four weeks. No score, no streaks, no advice. Log a symptom in ten seconds and see which ones turned up on the same nights as which readings. Export a PDF for your doctor, made on your iPhone and never uploaded. Built for perimenopause. iPhone and Apple Watch required.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I'm Vino. I built Perigee on my own — no team, no funding.
Perimenopause tends to arrive somewhere in your 40s and can run for years. The common experience is a stretch of nights that feel wrong — waking at 3am, a racing heart, sleep that doesn't restore — and no way to tell whether something is actually happening or whether you're imagining it.
Here's the part that bothered me: if you wear an Apple Watch, most of it is already being recorded. HRV, wrist temperature, breathing rate and sleep, night after night — plus a resting heart rate it works out each day. All without you doing anything. That data just sits in the Health app as charts almost nobody can read.
Perigee reads those signals and writes a few plain sentences each morning, comparing last night with your own recent four weeks. Not a population average. You.
What it deliberately does NOT do:
• No score. There's no "readiness: 72." A number you can't act on isn't information, it's decoration.
• No streaks, no rings, no nudging you to do better. This isn't a fitness app and your body isn't underperforming.
• No diagnosis, no advice. It reports what changed and shows the readings it was written from. What it means is a conversation for you and your doctor.
There's also a 10-second symptom log (hot flashes, sleep, mood, and so on), and you can export a PDF that lines your symptoms up against your readings — the thing that's genuinely hard to reconstruct from memory in a 10-minute appointment.
Some honest fine print, because this is health and I'd rather you hear it from me:
• It requires an iPhone and an Apple Watch. Wrist temperature specifically needs Series 8 or later with Sleep Focus on — the older watches don't have the sensor.
• On privacy: your full Apple Health history and your identity stay on this device. To write the morning note, Perigee sends a short summary — last night's readings, how they compare with your usual, your age range, the stage you picked, whether you use HRT, and the symptoms you logged. Never your name, your email, or your health record. It isn't stored and isn't used for training, and you can switch to on-device writing so nothing leaves your iPhone at all. The doctor PDF is always made locally.
• On the free tier: you get a short read every morning, written on your phone. The fuller AI read is 3 a month on free (one a week), and every morning on Plus.
• The screenshots use sample data. The app looks like that, but those particular numbers are seeded — real weeks are messier, and I'd rather show you that up front than have you find out after installing.
Why this instead of what exists: most menopause apps are manual symptom diaries — you do all the input. Most wearable apps are recovery scores built for athletes. Very little reads the sensor data you already have and simply tells you, in words, what was different last night.
One thing I'd really like feedback on: does the morning text read as useful, or as stating the obvious? That's the hardest judgment call in the whole product and I'm not convinced I've got it right yet.
Happy to answer anything.
