I'm Francesco, maker of PeloLindo.
The idea started with something absurdly analog: in Italy, your pet's entire medical history lives in a paper booklet. Vaccinations, treatments, surgeries all handwritten by different vets over the years. Lose it, and you lose everything.
I've spent 20+ years building online marketplaces and classifieds platforms, and it struck me that pet care in Italy was still missing the basic infrastructure other industries got a decade ago. So I started PeloLindo as a passion project and it grew into three connected pieces:

📚 Breed profiles designed to help people choose the right pet, with real data on health predispositions and care needs
🩺 A directory of verified professionals vets, groomers, trainers
We launched the beta in Milan and Parma earlier this year, and the feedback from pet owners (and a few very patient vets) has shaped everything since.

Is the vet directory searchable by specialty or just location, and does the passport actually sync with vet clinics so I do not have to re-enter vaccination dates by hand?
Good luck with your app! If I were still living in Italy, I would have certainly tried it for my dog.
I think that an important part is the guides and tips on how to take care of your dog/cat: who's responsible for it? Did someone from your team research the topic to make sure they were accurate and up-to-date, or did you collaborate with experts?
How does the vet directory work in practice, are these vets paying to be listed or do you verify them independently, and does the passport actually sync with any clinic systems or is it all manual entry on my end?
