Do you make pixel art and LED animations? Do you want a better tool for making both? PegFX gives you a custom environment made for LED Matrix signage, and can directly connect to microcontrollers to push designs to your hardware, export to CircuitPython (Adafruit Matrix, ESP32, others) and Arduino C++ (Adafruit Protomatter, FastLED, others), as well as Indexed BMPs, Gif (static and animation) 1x1 and rendered PNG, SVG, Lottie, and JSON project files.
I like to work in the Pixel Art style and for years I have done this with a variety of other tools (Aseprite, custom workflows, and more).
Then a friend asked me to help him design some Adafruit Matrix LED boards, and I started making an editor so he could make his own. Then, like I often do, I just...kept making it, until I ended up with what is a bit like After Effects for LEDs. To say I overbuilt for his requirements is an understatement. While it is of course ideal for the purpose of dot-matrix grids, it is also awesome for making pixel art too!
