Peek’s AI-powered companion offers proactive check-ins—analyzing your spending patterns and refining your habits subtly and positively. Zero judgment, zero guilt. It’s like having a financial Spotify Wrapped, tuned to your goals and daily life.
👋 Hey Product Hunt! Jeff here—founder, builder, and proud member of Team “Finance Apps Shouldn’t Suck.”
Peek was born out of frustration. Most finance apps feel like spreadsheets in drag—cold, confusing, or just plain overwhelming. I wanted something human—like a vibe check for your money.
So we built Peek:
- A daily check-in that helps you understand your money, not dread it
- AI-powered insights that feel more like coaching than charts
- And a UI that doesn’t scream “Excel from 2006”
Right now, Peek only works if you connect your bank account using Plaid (US). This step is required, because with historical data, we can:
1. Build stronger action plans
2. Spot spending habits and trends
3. Surface personalized insights that actually move the needle
More countries coming soon: 🇨🇦 🇬🇧 🇩🇪 🇫🇷 and more on the roadmap.
🔒 Is it safe? Yep. Peek never touches your money—we use read-only access through Plaid. Everything is encrypted.
💸 We’re currently free during this early access period. Subscriptions will roll out later.
Peek is still early, but folks are already saying it feels like “a therapist for your wallet.” That means the world to us.
If you’ve ever opened a finance app and felt judged, confused, or just...tired—you’re exactly who we built this for.
Would love your feedback, feature requests, or even roasts.
Love the interface, the design, and the usefulness of it all. The team really found a USP and made it loveable. 😶🌫️
Most finance apps are either too complex or just… boring. Peek actually feels like something built for real people. Clean, smart, and kind of a joy to use.
💡 Finally, a finance app that gets humans! Just tried Peek and wow - this feels like the anti-spreadsheet revolution we've all been waiting for🚀 The global roadmap excites me - can't wait for my Canadian friends to experience this! To the team: You've cracked the code on making money management feel warm and empowering. This isn't just an app, it's financial therapy in your pocket.
Plaid-only for now is a bummer (but understandable). Hurry up with those international launches!
I'm completely drawn to this product's UI!😄 It's totally different from any other finance-related products I've seen before. Congrats on the launch!
I love seeing these modern, AI-powered next-gen products that turn old, chaotic processes into something refreshing and fun. Visualizing finances in such an engaging way is a great step forward—I’d definitely love to try it out myself. Just hope it rolls out to more countries soon!
Absolutely love this, Jeff. 🙌 The "vibe check for your money" line hit hard—feels like exactly what’s been missing in personal finance tools. Most apps do feel like they were made for accountants, not real humans trying to make sense of their spending.
Excited to try Peek out—cheering you on from the sidelines! 👏
Love the “financial Spotify Wrapped” analogy—super relatable. Curious though, how does Peek balance personalized nudges without crossing into information overload? Would love to hear how you’re handling that tradeoff.
This looks really good. I am currently doing everything manually, and I think that this will be a gamechanger.
This looks really great, for people who often overspend but don't want to open the sick payment software to check the bill, but it looks very comfortable.
The app could really benefit from a better UI. The sharing feature feels awkward—most users likely won’t want to post their spending habits, which is personal information, on social media or share it with others. Also, the spending summary would be more useful if it were presented in a simpler and clearer format, rather than relying on overly decorative or flashy design elements.
Very cool I've been following you in X, I was searching for more videos to know about the experience because I have an Android and noticed this Old videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPgV2vUQZVU, do you guys pivoted? Because the initial dash seem very Accounting focused approach and you went the other way around! Really cool and interesting approach.
Also do you have more videos and screen shots of the app? wanted to know more but I don't have an Iphone
As someone who has spent the last 10 years watching personal finance YouTube videos, this is a god send, wish this existed when I started my personal finance journey ! It’s given me way better financial direction and literacy in such a short amount of time
