Hello Product Hunt! 🐚 We’re so excited to finally share The Pearl Club with you!
We built The Pearl Club around a simple idea: what if there was a little corner of the internet where you could slow down, spend some time, and just be yourself without feeling like you had to be productive?
Inside The Pearl Club, you can journal your thoughts, play small games, share little pieces of yourself through the community feed, explore your world, and collect cute ocean creatures and other little treasures along the way. There are small things to discover, but there’s no particular way you have to use it you can make it your own.
We wanted to create something that felt a little more personal and playful than the usual online experience. Somewhere you could come back to when you want to write something down, play a quick game, collect something cute, or simply spend a few quiet minutes online.
We’ve also made something special for our first members. The first 100 people to join The Pearl Club will receive a rare Golden Pearl that they can add to their collection. 🫧
This has been a very hands-on journey for us — lots of building, breaking things, fixing them again, late nights, and plenty of figuring things out as we went. We’re really excited to finally have people experience what we’ve been working on.

This is a nice change from apps that push you to check in every day. It just gives you a calm space to slow down and write. What gave you the idea to build an app that doesn't want your attention all the time?
Building Pearl Club started with a simple thought: the internet doesn't always need to ask something from us.
Most digital products are built around keeping you engaged, productive, or coming back every day. We wanted to build something that felt different, a small virtual space where you can journal, listen to ambient sounds, play, collect sea creatures, explore, send a Message in a Bottle, or simply do nothing.
One of my favorite parts of building Pearl Club was realizing that we didn't need to add a reason for people to stay longer. If someone spends five minutes there, feels a little lighter, and leaves, that's a good experience to us.
There were definitely a lot of iterations, bugs, and moments where we questioned whether people would actually want something this simple. But seeing Pearl Club come together into the little world we imagined has made all of it worth it.
