I built Owl Recorder because traditional voice recorders often capture hours of silence when you only care about a few important moments.
Owl Recorder works differently: you set a sound threshold, and it records only when the noise level goes above it.
You can also schedule recording sessions, choose a specific time range, and leave the app running in the background — even while the phone is locked.
Some of the use cases I had in mind were:
• Neighbor noise that is difficult to catch at the right moment
• Sounds during sleep
• Baby or pet sounds at night
• Unexpected noises at home
• Any situation where you want to know when something actually happened without recording everything
The goal is simple: **less silence, fewer unnecessary recordings, and easier access to the moments that matter.**
Owl Recorder is available on iOS and Android.
