The first time I got paid in bitcoin it was for a set of ebooks I was selling online back when bitcoin was worth ninety dollars. It came from someone I'd never met, in a country I
couldn't have pointed to on a map, and there was nobody standing in
between us.
That felt like the future. Then crypto turned into something you
speculate on rather than something you spend, and almost every tool that
got built after that was built for traders instead of for people selling
things.
PaySovra is my attempt to get back to the first thing. It's a payment
gateway where money goes from your customer's wallet straight to yours.
We never hold it. No balance page, no payout schedule, no withdrawal
button, nothing anyone can freeze, because there is nowhere for your
money to sit in the first place.
If you sell anything online you can be taking crypto in about ten
minutes. Hosted product pages and payment links if you don't want to
touch code. A WooCommerce plugin if you already have a store. Invoices
you can email to a client. A REST API, a typed SDK on npm and signed
webhooks if you'd rather wire it in yourself.
It takes BTC, LTC, ETH, SOL, TRX and stablecoins including USDT and USDC
across ten networks. You can price in seven currencies, and both the fiat
and token rates lock the moment your customer commits, so what lands
matches what you charged.
