PayaChat started from a pretty simple thought: technology shouldn’t compete with people for attention. Most messaging apps got really good at speed — instant delivery, notifications, read receipts, typing indicators. But I kept wondering about the moment before a message is opened, and how timing, curiosity, anticipation, or even a little effort can change how communication feels. So I started building around that space. Ordinary messages can still be ordinary. But when something actually matters — a joke, an apology, a confession, a surprise, a question — the sender can let it arrive differently. The app isn’t asking for your attention because an algorithm wants engagement. Another person is asking because they sent something specifically to you. PayaChat is basically my attempt to make those moments in communication feel a little more alive again.

PayaChat was hunted by Hieu Le. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
