The thing that kept bugging me about existing age-gate and terms-checkbox apps: they look like they block checkout but don't actually stop add-to-cart reliably, especially once you've got a cart or upsell app in the mix. So that's what we focused on. Pass Check's blocking is properly enforced and tested against the popular cart/upsell apps that usually break this stuff.
Beyond that: a placement picker so the age-gate shows exactly where you want it, real hyperlink support in checkbox labels (so you can link straight to your policies), and a build light enough that it stays out of your storefront's way.
