Someone's driving, but not the whole way to yours. Partway checks every station along the driver's route with live UK trains and real bookable fares, weighs each against just catching a train from where you started, and counts the driver's detour. You get a shortlist of 2 to 4 stops; the driver picks from a plain web link, no app needed. No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Free on the UK App Store. And when a lift isn't worth it, it says so.

Hi Product Hunt! Solo founder here. Partway comes from a very specific, very British moment: a mate says 'I can take you as far as Birmingham', and everyone starts guessing where you should actually get out. The nearest station is usually the wrong one. Fares jump absurdly between neighbouring stations on the same line, and the best drop depends on which trains leave just after you'd arrive. So Partway checks every station along the driver's actual route: live departures, real bookable fares with your railcard counted, and the driver's detour weighed too. The driver never installs anything; they get one link and tap a stop. No accounts anywhere, nothing tracked. A real search from this week: Bath to Manchester while a friend drove home to Birmingham. Booked from Bath it was £116.80; from the right drop-off on his route, £49.00. And my favourite detail: when a lift is NOT worth taking, it says so. One search's best drop saved 10p, and the app told me to stay on the train. It is UK-only for now, because it runs on National Rail data. If you are outside the UK, the site shows how it thinks. I would genuinely love to know: where should it go next, group trips with several drop-offs, or another country's rail network?

Who hunted Partway?

Partway was hunted by Abdulmalik Giwa. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
