Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Jonathan, a product designer who has spent years working with multi-brand design systems. Parlance began with a problem I kept seeing in both design and development: everything can look perfectly aligned on the surface, while small human decisions quietly pull the product apart underneath. A design token gets replaced with a hard-coded value. Contrast drops below the expected standard. A component behaves differently in Figma, code and production. None of these decisions are usually malicious or even careless—they are simply the kind of human errors that become inevitable as products, teams and systems grow. I built Parlance to make those agreements explicit. It turns design-system decisions into shared contracts, then audits those contracts wherever the product is being created: in Figma, source code, browsers, native apps and AI-assisted workflows. The name is intentional. Parlance means the language used and understood by a particular group. The goal is to give designers, developers, accessibility specialists and AI agents one shared language for what the interface is meant to be. Parlance does not replace expert accessibility testing or testing with assistive technologies. It is designed to catch the checkable issues earlier, make design drift visible and provide clear evidence before those problems quietly reach users. Who hunted Parlance?

Parlance was hunted by Jonathan Bernard Pace. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
