Hi Product Hunt,
I am Sneh. I run Paras Gallery Fabrics in Lajpat Nagar Central Market, Delhi. We have been supplying wholesale bridal fabric to boutiques across Delhi NCR and 90+ cities in India for eleven years.
Every August I watch the same thing happen at my counter. A boutique owner walks in with a client's WhatsApp list of 12 relatives who need sangeet outfits. They pull out a calculator. They start doing metrage math on paper. It takes them 20 minutes and they still forget the linings.
So we built this. The Family Multi-Outfit Fabric Estimator is a free calculator that takes:
Function type (sangeet, mehendi, haldi, reception, wedding)
Number of relatives + their relation (bride, mother, sister, cousin, bua, kids)
Silhouette per person (lehenga, saree, sharara, anarkali, kurta, palazzo suit, gown)
Fabric preference (georgette, chinon, organza, satin)
And returns:
Total metrage needed
Recommended shade family (with variations)
Cut-piece breakdown (how many metres of base + adjacent shades)
Rupee range at wholesale and retail
Suggested stitching approach
We use it internally with our boutique clients when they call in orders. Sharing it publicly because there is no reason it should live only inside our shop.
