Flashcard apps got complicated. Para didn't. One screen. Auto-translate. AI word suggestions based on your level. Swipe to learn. No streaks, no levels, no bloat. See a new word? Add it instantly — Para translates it on the spot. No switching apps, no friction. And yes, this is one of the last apps actually built by a human. No vibecoding slop. Have fun!
I'm not a developer, I'm a product designer. Over 10+ years I've worked on projects that got cancelled, rewritten, or quietly buried for political reasons. This time I built something of my own, as a CEO. It works exactly the way I envisioned it, not perfectly yet, but close enough to make me genuinely proud.
Para came from a simple frustration: every time I learned a new word, I had to switch to a translator, then find a flashcard app, then add it manually. So I built something where you just type the word and it's done — translated and saved in one place.
The goal from day one was to keep it simple. One screen. No clutter. Just you and your words.
Para is live on the App Store now. Android and desktop are on the roadmap. Would love your feedback. This community means a lot to a first-time indie developer.
