Paperweight UI
Tactile 3D UI system & 1-click DESIGN.md AI prompt generator
Stop building generic, flat UIs. Paperweight UI brings physical stationery craft to Next.js 16, Tailwind CSS v4, & AI coding assistants with zero NPM bloat and 1-click DESIGN.md prompt generation.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Dhairya, creator of Paperweight UI.
Let’s be honest: Most modern web apps suffer from UI homogenization. In the era of AI tools, building software is faster than ever—but everything ends up looking like the same flat, generic template.
Have you ever noticed those subtle, tactile 3D buttons, light-refracting bevels, and carved input wells on sites like Canva, Clerk, or Linear? You’ve seen them, you loved the physical craft... but when you searched for a UI library to build them, nothing existed.
So I built Paperweight UI — a tactile, editorial design system inspired by precision hardware and physical stationery.
💡 What makes Paperweight UI different?
• 🚫 Zero NPM Bloat: No heavy SDKs or rigid component locks to fight against.
• 🤖 AI-Native (DESIGN.md Generator): A 1-click prompt feed for Cursor, Claude, V0, and Antigravity that teaches AI agents your exact micro-elevation physics, warm canvas tokens (#FAFAFA), and hairline border rules.
• 🎨 Dynamic Theme Tokens: Pre-configured to Blueprint Blue (#2563EB) with live switching for Ink Emerald, Amber Wax, Crimson Stamp, and Deep Slate.
• ⚡ Modern Stack: Built natively for Next.js 16 (App Router), React 19, and Tailwind CSS v4.

the stationery craft angle is genuinely refreshing, so many UI kits feel like the same flat components recycled. love that it's leaning into physical textures and paper-like details instead.
The stationery aesthetic is a nice change of pace from the usual flat dashboards, and the DESIGN.md prompt trick actually saved me a bunch of setup time. Curious to see how it holds up once a project gets more complex than a landing page.
