PaperBanana is an AI tool for creating publication-ready scientific figures, diagrams, and research posters. It helps researchers generate methodology diagrams, architecture figures, concept maps, multi-panel visuals, and conference posters from text, papers, or reference images — without wrestling with PowerPoint, Illustrator, or design tools.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
We built PaperBanana because creating scientific figures is still one of the most painful parts of research. Researchers can spend hours turning a method section, model architecture, or experiment workflow into a clear visual — often jumping between PowerPoint, Illustrator, BioRender-style tools, and endless manual edits.
PaperBanana is our attempt to make that workflow AI-native. You can describe a figure, upload references, generate methodology diagrams, create academic illustrations, edit scientific visuals, and even turn papers into conference posters.
Our goal is not just to make “pretty AI images.” We want to help researchers create visuals that are clear, editable, and useful for papers, presentations, posters, PI reviews, and reviewer revisions.
We’d love your feedback, especially from researchers, PhD students, postdocs, professors, and anyone who has ever suffered through making academic figures by hand.
