Hey Product Hunt — I’m Collin, founder of PackProof. I built PackProof after seeing the same problem come up again and again in collector and e-commerce communities: when a shipment dispute happens, everyone suddenly needs evidence that often wasn’t captured or organized properly in the first place. A packing video might exist on someone’s phone. Tracking is somewhere else. Order information is somewhere else. Then, when something goes wrong, you’re trying to reconstruct what happened after the fact. PackProof is built around a simple idea: the evidence should already be there before you need it. It creates a structured, source-linked record around a shipment — including fulfillment capture, order information, tracking, timestamps, attestations, and integrity data — so there’s a clear record to reference if a question or claim comes up later. One thing that became increasingly important to me while building it was neutrality. PackProof isn’t an insurer, marketplace, or judge deciding who is right. It’s evidence infrastructure designed to document what happened as clearly as possible. The product has evolved a lot along the way too. Early versions required too many separate actions. We’ve progressively simplified that into a workflow where you record fulfillment once and PackProof does as much of the organization around that evidence as possible. I’m a collector myself, so this started from a problem I genuinely cared about solving. Now I’m excited to see how sellers, collectors, and businesses actually use it in the real world.
