Hello Product Hunt. I'm Oliver, one of two people behind Packetra.
I've worked in hosting for 16 years, and what kept bothering me is how much identity verification crept into an industry that doesn't need it. Renting a server shouldn't require a passport scan.
So we built the host we wanted to use. Email and password to sign up. Servers in Finland and Switzerland, two jurisdictions with genuinely strong data protection law. Self-hosted crypto payments, so no third-party processor sits between you and us.
We launched in 2025 and we're still small. Happy to answer anything about the jurisdictions, the infrastructure, or why we made specific tradeoffs.
