A few weeks ago Google released the Open Knowledge Format (OKF) – a vendor-neutral, markdown way to describe data models for humans and AI agents. Google shipped a read-only viewer; we built the editor.
OWOX Model Canvas lets you draw a data model (or let Claude/Gemini generate it from a sentence), see it as a clean ERD, and export valid OKF — it even opens Google's official sample datasets. It's free, works fully anonymously (no sign-up to try), and it's open source + one-click deployable.

Finally tried OWOX Data Marts and was impressed by how the handoff to spreadsheets just works—no broken formulas when data updates. The AI tool integration is a nice touch for our team.
Finally tried OWOX Data Marts this week and the handoff to ChatGPT for ad-hoc questions worked way smoother than I expected. Love that business users get live data without pinging me for a refresh.
One thing that would make this a daily driver for us is a version history tab for each mart, so when a business user asks "why does this number look different than last week" we can see exactly when a schema or definition changed without digging through Slack.
Setup was surprisingly quick, and handing off a live report directly into ChatGPT actually worked without my usual data refresh headaches.
Finally tried the handoff to ChatGPT and it actually pulled live numbers from our BigQuery without me babysitting it. Wish I'd had this a few months back when analysts kept re-exporting the same pivot tables.
