Outwork. Cafés to work in, near you.
See where you can work on a laptop, and if there's a seat
Hi Product Hunt, I'm Daniel, and I built Outwork.
It answers one question: where can I go and work right now? Open it and you see cafés near you where you can work on a laptop, grouped into areas you can walk to.
What's different:
- Seat updates come from people sitting in the café, or from the café itself. Each one shows its age, and old updates look old.
- A café can set the hours laptops are welcome and one rule, so you know before you walk over.
- It runs in the browser. No download, no booking, and no account needed to look.
Where it's at: early. We planned to launch as an iPhone app, that got delayed, so we put the same thing on the web. We're starting in London, Zagreb, A Coruña, Melbourne and Amsterdam, and most cafés haven't had their first seat update yet.
One thing I'd love your view on: what would make you trust a "seats free" update enough to walk ten minutes for it?
