1. I hate LinkedIn, where you have tons of connections but don’t actually know anyone.
2. I hate conferences because networking there is just swapping contacts, promising to follow up, and then trying to sell something to each other.
3. I’m not a fan of meetups either—it’s just random people. "Hi, I make ballet shoes." "I run an auto repair shop." You leave with a handful of business cards and no real value.
4. I hate social media feeds, where everyone’s busy showing off their latest promotion or project, but no one’s being real about the struggles.
5. And I hate how social media pushes us to constantly churn out content, making us part-time bloggers on top of our actual jobs. Not because we need it, but because the platforms need it—to sell us more ads.
We live in a world surrounded by people, yet we feel terribly alone on our professional journeys. Everyone talks about founder loneliness, but what about the loneliness of marketers, educators, or investors? Every day we face new challenges we’ve never dealt with before. How does Osmos work?
1. Share your story in a way that shows you’re both a professional and a real person.
2. Once a week, we send you a match—a person from your field or someone similar to you.
3. You schedule a meeting, either online or offline if you're in the same city and it’s convenient.
4. After the meeting, you leave feedback, which helps keep the community authentic and supportive.
5. The rest of the time, you can engage in the feed. The Osmos feed is made up entirely of requests—you can post your own or click “I can help” to assist others, building a real professional support network.

The thing I struggle to get past is the website does not convince me that there are a lot of people on it or that they are worth meeting. Getting paywalled so early without having any idea on the potential people I could meet is a non-starter. There needs to be greater transparency around this, because that price point feels very steep with no guarantee on the quality of the platform.
It would be best if you offered a free trial. I will not pay you to give you my time to try out yet another startup.
Congratulations on your launch! It is valuable to resist the constant battle of algorithms and the rush of networking around us and instead pursue the power of genuine communication. What I wonder is how do you ensure that ethical principles are protected and a professional tone is maintained in the meetings made via your platform? Do you apply any sanctions in cases of ethical violations like racism, misogyny, or hate speech?

@natalia_cebotari_osmos I like the idea of your product and have a few comments:
1. Can you please share how many active members you have and from what regions?
2. The screenshot on the website shows two people agreeing to meet for coffee. I'm assuming that most of the conversations will be happening online, is that correct?
3. I think the pricing is very steep. I'm happy to pay $10 a month if I am sure that I will meet interesting people (online or in person) but I can't see anything on the website that would guarantee this.
What you would want (in my opinion) is to first have a number of active members. Perhaps you could encourage activity by offering a high discount to those who proactively use your tool, as they will then contribute to the network.

I have been a part of such products earlier, although in the longer-term that product seized to provide anything in return, and hence the craze went down.
Additionally, there doesn't seem to be any freemium feature, so I wasn't even sure what I was paying for.
Pricing is steep for someone in South Asian countries.

I signed up and was very excited but ran into the payment gate before being offered any taste of what I will be getting in return! why would i pay you money if i dont have any feeling about what kind of quality service am i going to get?

I love the concept! Feeling isolated on our professional journey is a real struggle, particularly for those that start up as solopreneurs. Superficial networking events often don't deliver, so Osmos' focus on curated, in-depth conversations feels like a breath of fresh air.
