I’m the maker of Osmomo. I built this app because I hit an unnecessary wall trying to learn a language with existing apps. I spent months memorizing complex grammar and proper structures, only to realize I still couldn’t communicate. Why? Because I didn’t have enough raw vocabulary. 😢
So, I looked into the data and the cognitive science of Second Language Acquisition and flipped the script with a radical but scientific approach 🧪:

Osmomo is built for (myself initially!) language learners who want to speedrun to literacy. Instead of forcing you through a academic curriculum, the app lets you ingest vocabulary directly from things you actually want to watch and read—like custom AI articles or your favorite YouTube and Netflix shows. 📺 📖

🤖 The AI Sandbox: Forget syntax. You just drop your raw, broken word blocks into our sandbox, and the engine transforms your chaotic thoughts into beautiful native expressions. It lets you communicate from day one—which drastically accelerates long-term memory.
🧠 Lexical Similarity: We prioritize words with lexical overlap—meaning words similar to your native language are taught first to build your vocabulary bank at lightning speed.
We are launching with Japanese first, but the framework is built to scale horizontally to any language! 🌍
