I built Orthodate because many Orthodox Christian singles struggle to meet someone who shares both their faith and their intention to pursue marriage. Orthodox communities are often small and geographically dispersed, while mainstream dating apps rarely make faith a meaningful part of matching.
Orthodate is designed to help people connect beyond their local parish through faith-first profiles and intentional matching, without endless swiping, advertisins or expensive subscriptions.
The platform is currently web-based, completely free, and ad-free, with native mobile apps planned for the future. Nearly 3,000 Orthodox singles from around the world have already joined, and the community continues to grow every day.
We’re also working on compatibility-based recommendations, a directory of Orthodox events, and new ways for members to connect safely and intentionally.
