Orger brings your Emacs Org-mode workflow to iPhone and iPad. Plan tasks by day, week, or month alongside Apple Calendar and Reminders. Capture ideas and links from other apps, add notes, update Org files, and track time with a Focus Timer. Your chosen Org folder stays the source of truth, with no Orger account or developer-run sync server.
Hello everyone,
I’ve been working on an iOS app called Orger for managing org-mode tasks on the iPhone/iPad.
The goal is simple: keep the core org-mode workflow, but make it feel more natural on iOS, easier to navigate, easier to capture things quickly, and less like editing raw .org files on an iOS device.
I’d love to hear how it fits your workflow. Do you mainly use Org on mobile for planning, quick capture, notes, or something else? I’m especially interested in what feels missing or awkward.
Orger works with a folder you choose in the Files app, so syncing depends on your cloud provider. There’s no Orger account or separate sync server. Thanks for checking it out!

Who hunted Orger?
Orger was hunted by Guofeng Cao. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
