Orca is your one-on-one AI Language teacher to master German through real conversations. Speak, listen, and improve in real time — anytime, anywhere. Orca listens, corrects you, and helps you sound more natural.
I recently started learning German at the Goethe-Institut here in Egypt — and while the classes are great, I kept hitting the same wall: not enough speaking. I'd get one chance to talk, then wait as 20 other students repeating the same phrase. Outside class, I tried the usual apps... but they all felt like flashcard games — tap, match, swipe. No real conversation, no feedback, no progress I could hear.
So I built Orca — your own AI German teacher that talks with you, not at you. It introduces lessons, listens to your voice, corrects your pronunciation, and lets you practice freely until it clicks. No waiting. No pressure. No endless tapping. While most apps teach you what the language means, Orca teaches you how to speak it — clearly, confidently, and naturally.
German is just the beginning — more languages are on the way!
Learning German by talking, not just tapping. Perfect for building fluency that actually sounds native.
I can see orca become a duolingo in the ai and Im excited to see🤩
People like me shy from talking to people in public in the fear of judgement and orca can be a great start to build up some confidence. Congrats on the launch!
Way more interactive and responsive than typical language apps. Great for learners who want something between a tutor and a chatbot. wondering does Orca support cultural nuances and slang for different dialects (e.g. Latin American vs. European Spanish)? Excited to see how it evolves. Great launch and awesome potential.
Hey Ahmed! It sounds actually interesting. I can feel the pain and Orca looks to solve it. Little suggestion... the link brings us directly to a sign in page... it would be great a landing page with further explanation. Anyway, congrats on this impressive launch!
Love the idea.
Suggestion (not so sure whether it shows the words in written form while talking), but it would be great if it would show after the second or third pronunciation the written form of the word. I am learning German and I am a more visual type of person so I am more likely to remember something when I read it (see it).
This looks cool - not a big fan of Duolingo, so happy to try an alternative!
Congrats on the Launch! Used the platform and it has great potential. Some pointers from me - push-to-talk or some feedback for when the agent is listening.
- show the text I am supposed to speak and it's english counterpart. This will help in mapping the sound to a text a easier to remember for visual learners.
- a layout of the lesson showing progress
- option to repeat a section
Just gave this a spin at a coffee shop and the voice detection seems a bit sensitive to background noise, which kept interrupting the conversation. A 'push-to-talk' or a simple 'Speak/Stop' button for manual control would be a game-changer for using this in public spaces. Cool product, congrats on the launch!
Congrats on the launch! Any chance you add some more languages to Orca and ship a mobile version? This could be much more helpful and convenient to most language learners.
