For those who don't know, about four months ago I adopted an orange cat, and as you can see from the photo, he likes working with me (or tries to, anyway).
I’m a big fan of Apple Notes, despite a few reservations; I’ve tried using Notion or Obsidian, but for me, they’re like using a bazooka to kill a cockroach. Then, the other day, Kimi (named after the F1 driver, not the AI, haha) climbed onto my keyboard and completely altered a note—something I didn't notice until days later. That’s when I realized Apple Notes lacks a version history system, while all the alternatives require an internet connection.
Born out of this frustration, I’m launching version 1.0 of OrangeCat, a Markdown note-taking app with an offline revision system. It’s a one-time purchase (I can't stand subscriptions anymore) and is available on the macOS App Store.
