Stop bolting AI onto your computer. OpenSwarm is an AI-first operating system where agents run the whole machine: apps create themselves, browsers control themselves, and swarms of agents work together. Your OS just became an infinite canvas, and your work just transformed from you doing one task at a time, to orchestrating dozens in parallel. Tell it what you want and a swarm of agents does the work with you at the helm.

Where is the data stored? Is everything kept locally, or does it get uploaded to the cloud?

Nice work, how do you handle the security and setup the limit of these agents ? For me the company who fix these issue will rocket the market

Love the idea of making AI part of the operating system itself rather than just another tool to open. That feels like a meaningful shift.

Your apps and browser controlling themselves is a little wild, but also kind of the point. Tell it the job and keep an eye on the swarm haha. Grats @haylli_weintraub @alex_dakhli @eric_f_zeng

That's impressive !!!
But the question is how you manage the overall data base , is it local on the user's device or you gonna take it to the cloud ?
BTW, congrats to evry direct indirect contributor in the project. @haylli_weintraub @alex_dakhli @eric_f_zeng @benln

the file conflict handling (read, check if changed, refuse and re-read) makes sense for shared files, but what about actions that aren't a file write, two agents both sending the same DM, both submitting the same form, both hitting an API that isn't idempotent. there's no version number to check against on those, so what stops two agents from quietly duplicating an outward action instead of a file edit

Amazing product, I started using Openswarm with its first iteration back in June. Huge improves since and a part of my tech stack now!

congrats on the launch. could you elaborate on the "where agents run the whole machine: apps create themselves, browsers control themselves, and swarms of agents work together?" perhaps?

how many levels of agents are created? agents can have sub-agents that can have sub-agents?

@eric_f_zeng @haylli_weintraub @alex_dakhli Having all the agents work together in one place looks useful especially with the shared workspace feature

Showed this to our marketing lead, we have been struggling with low quality scores on PPC lately.

i have been using unbounce for a while, curious to see how this compares for quick personalization.

being able to stop the whole swarm from one card is handy. what happens if two agents try to edit the same file at once?

@eric_f_zeng I like the Idea of agents working together instead of having 10 different chats open. What kind of tasks work best with a swarm?

Making the OS itself an infinite canvas where agents can create apps and run the machine is a bold direction, and moving from doing one task to orchestrating many is the right way to frame it. Swarms of agents working together is the part worth watching. How do you keep a swarm from stepping on itself when several agents touch the same surface?

Awesome idea! Is OpenSwarm a stand-alone OS on bare metal or runs on top of macOS/Windows/Linux, and is it possible to use my own models/API keys?
Btw, Congratulations on the launch @haylli_weintraub , @eric_f_zeng and team OpenSwarm 🚀
