OpenSwarm is an open-source multi-agent CLI for non-code deliverables: decks, docs, research, charts, images, and video from one prompt. Unlike closed agent platforms or browser-automation wrappers, it uses 8 specialist agents, orchestrated handoffs, local file context, and forkable AGENTS.md customization so you can build your own swarm for any domain.

Hey Product Hunt, I’m Nick, one of the makers of OpenSwarm. We built this because our AI agency clients kept asking for agents that do more than return chat replies. They wanted agents inside SaaS products that could produce real deliverables: slide decks, reports, charts, docs, images, videos, proposals, and other finished work. Claude Code is excellent for coding, but it does not produce a real polished deck. Browser automation tools can try, but the quality was not enough for client work. Closed systems point in the right direction, but they are not forkable or fully customizable. So we built the system we needed ourselves. The first serious proof point was a custom proposal deck for a 100K+ multi-month client project. We tried other tools, the output was weaker, sent the OpenSwarm deck, and won the project. The product evolved from “one agent does everything” into an orchestrated team of specialists. OpenSwarm now has agents for research, data analysis, slides, docs, images, video, and general tasks. The orchestrator decides who should do what, and agents hand off cleaned-up work to each other instead of dumping raw context into one giant window. That is the main reason the outputs are stronger and less noisy. The repo is also meant to be a starting point. Fork it, open it in Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or your preferred coding agent, and ask it to turn OpenSwarm into an SEO swarm, sales swarm, support swarm, finance swarm, or any other domain-specific team. We’re open-sourcing it today. Try it from the terminal, star the repo if you want us to keep maintaining it, and tell us what specialized agents you want next.
