OpenChat is a peer-to-peer (P2P) messaging platform that operates without a central database server, is fully serverless, and features end-to-end encryption (E2EE). Developed with AI support, this architecture uses WebRTC and MQTT technologies to securely transfer data directly between browsers without storing it on any intermediary servers.
Hi Product Hunt community! 👋 I'm a self-taught high school student developer from Turkey, and I'm super excited to share my project with you today. I built this platform because I wanted to create a fully secure, serverless, and peer-to-peer (P2P) video chat alternative like Discord/WhatsApp, but with zero server costs using WebRTC and Vercel. It features text chat, video/audio calls, and screen sharing. It's completely open-source!
Note on Language:I sincerely apologize that the current UI is only in Turkish at the moment. Since I am Turkish, I naturally coded the interface in my native language first. However, full English localization is my top priority and will be added very soon! Until then, please don't hesitate to use the Google Translate extension—it actually does a fantastic job translating the UI seamlessly, so you can comfortably test the platform.
I’d love to hear your feedback, thoughts, and suggestions. Thank you for your support! 🚀
