OpenBot is an open-source workspace for AI teammates. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, OpenCode, or custom agents on Mac, Windows, and iOS. Give agents clear roles, let them delegate work, and invite your team to collaborate live with the same agents.
Hey, the product's great on both technical and non-technical aspects. I recently have a thing going on my mind which is to start an automation business (strict solo). I did some research on ICP and wedges. eventually I'll need a team to scale the business. How's this thing gonna hold up when we give it a real work rather than working with files? I don't wanna have some chat sessions with a random agent but instead, I wanna have a team with works alongside me. is it gonna take too much resource from my base M3 MacBook Air when I scale the work?? Appreciate your work!
Looks good, but what’s the solution for bigger teams to communicate with agents? For example, I have a 15-person team. I want to chat with my SEO agent, and my project manager wants to chat with the UX agent.
A daily report as opposed to me rummaging through my own notifications makes perfect sense.
Open Source is important to me in ways that others do not recognize. I cannot know how a closed source agent operates within the files and commands I give to it, but I can at least examine OpenBot before using it.
I have an agency that consists of just two people and the multi-user perspective is extremely important for us. All the agent applications I saw are built on the assumption of single user communicating with a single bot.
Finally a service that won't charge me twice. I'm already a subscriber to Claude anyway, so using it as an alternative to yet another billing system makes sense to me.
"Local-first is what did it for me." I've wasted enough hours fighting cloud-based agents that seize up the second there is any block against server communications.
But it’s multiplayer that I would like to see demonstrated the most. The key question for me in terms of using multiplayer is how the team will record and approve actions of each agent. The log with actions of the teammates triggering certain actions would make using shared agents comfortable enough for any business organization.
Open source is definitely one of the reasons for me to consider this further. Is there any information regarding external participation, perhaps even road map or an issue tracking tool? Such public direction would only help the cause.
Mac, Windows, and iOS have been provided in the list but the company has mentioned Linux in the comments. Having everything cleared in one place would save everyone from assuming anything. Other than that, everything about the product looks clear and organized.
This is the kind of AI product I love seeing moving from “ask an AI” to actually building a team of agents that can work together. Excited to see where OpenBot goes👏🏽
Local-first and open-source is the way to go. I would appreciate having a comprehensive manual for installing Ollama on a new machine.
Does the OpenBot software have local models or just the hosted APIs mentioned above? It will determine whether I can run it completely offline.
Congratulations on the launch! I appreciate the fact that with OpenBot, I can select my own models. Can Claude and ChatGPT agents share one memory?
the multiplayer angle is the part that'd make me cautious before rolling this out to a team - if Claude, ChatGPT and Grok are all sitting in the same live workspace reading the same shared context, has anyone tested what happens when one agent's output contains something the next agent reading it would treat as an instruction? that's less of an edge case once you have multiple vendors with different safety tuning looking at the same shared board instead of isolated sessions
Just got on TestFlight. @kamil_cyrek is the telemetry turned on by default? Can it be turned off, else I cannot use it for work since I work in a regulated field.
How do you keep up with the changing tools? Seems like there are a lot of things out there in terms of models, self-hosting, etc.
Hey Kamil, what was the biggest challenge or discovery you had when building OpenBot? It could be about anything, from open sourcing the app to coordinating the agents. Congrats on the launch today!

OpenBot was hunted by Rohan Chaubey. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
