OpenAPIPricing is an open research project on API pricing. We read the public pricing pages of 150 APIs across 19 categories, record the plans, free tiers and billing models, and publish every figure with its source link and the date we verified it. We also email providers to get the latest pricing. Each API gets a pricing guide, and the biggest names get side-by-side comparisons. The goal is simple: pricing anyone can check without a sales call.
Hey Product Hunt
We are a small research team looking at one question: what do APIs actually cost, and why is it so hard to find out?
Method, in short:
→ Source: only the vendor’s public pricing page, linked on every entry
→ Record: plans, free tier, billing model and the fees that show up on the invoice
→ Date: every figure carries the day we verified it
→ Cadence: pages are re-read weekly, and our team contacts vendors to confirm what we found
→ E-Mail providers asking them about the latest pricing
→ Independence: nothing is paid for, ranked or listed
Scope today: 150 APIs, 19 categories, 114 comparison pages, a pricing guide per API.
