OpenAnimus
Open-source local-first cockpit for reviewing agent work
OpenAnimus is a local-first cockpit for turning goals and trusted repo context into scoped agent work, evidence, QA, and human review. Hey Product Hunt 👋,
I'm Damian, building OpenAnimus solo and in public.
Most agent tools focus on generation. I think the bigger missing layer is trust: context, scope, evidence, QA, human review, and memory.
OpenAnimus is a local-first cockpit for reviewed agent work. The first wedge is software maintenance, because the outputs are concrete: diffs, tests, logs, screenshots, reviews, issues, and PRs.
The current experiment is simple: OpenAnimus builds OpenAnimus.
I started building it a little bit more than two weeks ago, and I'm dogfooding it live. Every day at 17:00 UTC, I stream the build, turn feedback into GitHub issues, and work through them with OpenAnimus.
If you're curious, join the stream or drop an issue. I'd love to shape this with maintainers, agent builders, and people using coding agents in real projects.
